The High Positions

This is a list of High Positions, what they include, and who holds them or what sort of position they are. (remember Main positions: you are allowed two and Mini: as many as you can handle)

In Redwall
Abbot/Abbess
_{The sole leader of Redwall. They make all final decisions, and determine when picnics, feasts, and meetings are held. They are usually selected by popular vote if not by the past Abbot or Abbess (this is usually the most common way of selecting a sucssesscor)
Holder: there is no holder of this position
Position status: Main position}

Champion:
_{The warrior of Redwall, so to speak. They wield the famous sword of Martin the Warrior and protect the Abbey at all costs. In times of peace the Champion usually is not needed, but trains constantly nonetheless.
Holder: Zaralyn Firestreak
Position status: Main Position

Recorder
[sub]The only person who takes note of all things happening in the Abbey. They teach the Dibbuns, and are given charge of daily recordings. They are also bound to research anything that might be of the Abbey's interest.
Holder: no holder
Position status: Main}

Infirmary Keeper:
^{One of the only herb-knowledgable creatures in the Abbey. They treat illnesses and tend to care for Dibbuns alongside the Abbey Mother. They must keep the Infirmary neat and tidy.
Holder: Brother Esson
Position status: Main}

Cook
_{The Cook(s) prepare the meals each morning afternoon and night. They must make a breakfast, lunch (or tea), and a dinner, with snacks for hungry Redwallers on the side.
Holder: Alendrea Shadowtail, open, open
Position status: Mini (only head cook is a main)

Mother
[sub]Usually a badger but sometimes a hare or in odd cases a mouse, the Mother of Redwall looks after the Dibbuns with the help of odd beasts.

Cellar Keeper
^{Usually known as the Cellarhog, since hedgehogs usually do the honors, these beasts prepare drinks for feasts and meals.

Position status: mini}

Foremole:
_{The lead mole in charge of escavating, building, and all building suppotr of the abbey.
Holder: Rukk Earthclaw
Position status: Main}

Bellringer
^{Usually a young beast who likes to ring the bells at mealtimes or in cases of emergencies or called meetings.
Holder: None, None, None
Position status: mini}

Bee Keeper
_{Usually a beast that does something else like work in the Orchard or Cellars. They care for the bees that supply the abbey's honey.
Holder: no one
Position status: mini}

Orchard Keeper
^{This beast tends to the crops of the orchard.
Holder: (head keeper) none, none, none
Position status: Main, mini, mini}

The Otter Holts
Skipper of Otters
_{Head of all otters really. They usually live in the Abbey, but sometimes live elsewhere. Often go to the sea with the other holts for the summer.
Holder: Ruil Rudderwave
Position status: Main}

^{the head of a seperate holt.

In Salamandastron
Badger Lord/Lady:
^{Badger who controls the mountain, the hares, and is bassically the high commander of the whole opperation.
Holder: Redstripe the Strong
Position status: Main

Reginal Hare:
_{the top hare in Salamandastron
Holder: Mistress Firefoot
Position status: Main}

Majors + Corprals:
_{The hares who keep the patrol in order, either appointed by the Reginal hare or the Badger Lord.

Position status: mini}

Healers
[sup]Those who care for the wounded hares.}
Holders: Reason
Position status: main[./sup]

The Squirrel Dreys

squirrel king and queen:
^{The head of Floret and the whole of all the squirrels.
Holder: none
Position status: main}

squirrel lord and lady
_{squirrels who have charge of dreys across the land.
Holders: Jazer Rok, none, none, none
Position status: mini}

The Gousim (geurilla union of shrews in mossflower)
Log-a-Log of the Northern Streams Log-a-Log of the Southern Slopes
Log-a-Log of the Eastern Wood Log-a-Log of the Western Sea
_{All are cheiftains of the different bands of Guosim.
Holders: Azrah, none, none, none
Positions status: all Main}

Corsairs and Vermin bands
**To encourage villinous characters all pirate and vermin positions are mini's**
